The Homebuyer’s report is more detailed than a condition report. It highlights problems, such as damp and subsidence and includes advice on necessary repairs and ongoing maintenance. It also points out anything that doesn’t meet current building regulations (but that does not mean that you would automatically have to upgrade to comply). It is a non-intrusive survey and the surveyor will comment on what can be seen, so will be able to identify obvious issues.
